CEDEC is Japan’s largest conference for computer entertainment developers, bringing together engineers, producers, artists, and researchers from across the games industry each summer in Yokohama for three days of sessions, workshops, and direct exchange between studios shaping the future of interactive entertainment.
This year’s edition runs July 22 to 24 at Pacifico Yokohama, organized by CESA under the theme “Co-Create,” focused on connecting individuals, teams, and partners across the industry to build better games together. It’s a theme that lines up closely with how we build at Abstract, and we’re glad to bring that conversation to Yokohama.
Meet us at CEDEC 2026
This year brings significant momentum across the Abstract portfolio. InstaLOD’s latest update just shipped native integrations for Maxon Cinema 4D and Nvidia Omniverse, a new adaptive Quad Remesher for production-ready subdivision topology, and faster InstaLOD Pipeline commands for high-volume dataset processing, and there’s more still ahead. A new InstaMAT update is also on the way, extending the toolset further into day-to-day texturing workflows.
RSX Engine is closing in on its official release, and the timing lines up well with what production teams keep asking for. Teams building complex real-time projects or juggling contributors across time zones don’t need another engine bolted onto a pipeline; they need one that treats collaboration as a first-class feature. RSX Engine runs natively in the browser, supports real-time multiplayer editing so artists and engineers can work in the same scene simultaneously, versions everything automatically in the cloud, and deploys straight to the web the moment you’re ready to ship. No local installs, no manual syncing, no waiting on a build.
Polyverse, our cloud-based platform for 2D and 3D digital asset management and processing, will soon be available as a native app alongside its browser experience, giving teams a faster, more integrated way to work with the same asset libraries wherever they’re building. For game studios and enterprise teams managing thousands of assets across departments and external partners, Polyverse handles the parts that usually eat production time: automatic versioning so nothing gets overwritten, Polytron-powered processing that prepares assets at scale, and shared libraries that keep everyone, in-house or remote, working from the same source of truth.
If you’re at CEDEC this year, we’d love to walk you through the full Abstract lineup:
-
- InstaLOD – the leading solution for 3D optimization, workflow automation, and CAD to 3D conversion.
- InstaMAT – the most powerful 3D material platform, for design, texturing, and scalable asset pipelines.
- RSX Engine – the only 3D engine that helps teams build in 3D, together.
- Polyverse – comprehensive digital asset management built for teams managing and processing 2D and 3D assets at scale.
